About

I read approximately 52 books a year, primarily mysteries, but I also enjoy general fiction and a smattering of nonfiction (particularly books about Scientology, like Going Clear, The Unbreakable Miss Lovely and Blown for Good). My goal for 2016 is to write a book review every week.

A couple of caveats:

I know a lot of authors personally, and may review their books here; however, I won’t say I liked a book that I didn’t honestly enjoy. (Of course, I reserve the right not to review a book I didn’t care for!) I will include a disclaimer with the review if a book is by a client or friend.

Many of the books I read are for my book group, which meets weekly from January to early June and then from September to late November. I may review something we haven’t discussed yet, in which case people who belong to my group may prefer to not read what I’ve written if they want to be surprised.
